Welcome to Innovation Cake!  Thought it would be good to start by covering a couple quick questions. 

First, what topics will be covered in this blog?  Anything innovation related is fair game.  My current personal expertise is around emerging software technologies and strategies but often find some of the most simple and obvious ideas are the most innovative (see more background information here).  I would like to think I am only going to focus on the most compelling and prominent topics but can’t make this promise. 

Second question, what’s with the name?  I like the name because it’s a bit catchy and it gives you a sense for the main subject of this blog.  Plus it’s analogous on multiple layers: what are the ingredients of innovation, what are the different flavors, what are my favorites, etc.  Think of this blog as being a series of entries for the innovation connoisseur in all of us.
